Stephen Terlizzi

CEO and President


Stephen Terlizzi is the CEO and President of  With more than 20 years experience in the high-tech industry, Steve has an extensive background in general management, sales and marketing, including roles in both large enterprises and entrepreneurial startups.

Most recently, Steve was the VP and GM of the Storage Solutions Group at Adaptec.  Recruited by CEO, he developed a new strategic and annual operating plan having full matrix P&L responsibility for the $27M business unit, approximately 100+ worldwide employees. He revived a dying business unit and brand, cleaned up inefficient operations and poor business execution, and completely rebuilt the worldwide sales and marketing organization to reinvigorate a failing go-to-market.  The business unit was acquired by Overland Storage in 2008.

Steve also built and managed global marketing organization for privately-held Atempo, a $40M+ data protection software company.  Under his leadership, the company’s products won SNW’s “Best Practices in Storage Reliability and Data Recovery” award 2x in one year. He also repositioned the company into high-growth markets of replication and archiving segments, leading to an additional $22M injection in expansion capital.  Steve was also a member of the leadership team of two other Silicon Valley startups.

At EMC Corporation Steve managed Symmetrix product business, accounting for a $5+ billion annual revenue stream. He also established EMC Japan K.K. in 1994 as key member of the initial 5-person management team.
Steve has an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology and a MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
