From Your Archive Competition

This was an amazing experience.  I had the pleasure of capturing these two wonderful children.  Their mother insisted that they take their shoes off, and the bridge was a little hot, but they toughed it out together.  Big Brother grabbed baby sister's hand and said, "Come on, let's just do it."  It was so cute because they supported each other through every shot that I took.  Big brother did not want to take any pictures, but mom bribed him with shrimp tacos, while big sister hugged him.  Every picture after that he had nothing smaller than a grin.

They had bright yellow and blue matching outfits that complimented their skin tones perfectly, but for this shot the B&W really told the story.   I wanted to focus on the love and dedication that these two had for each other, even at their very young ages.  You can see how much baby sister trusted her brother.  Her eyes are almost shut while he guides her.  I don't have a brother, but I have a sister and the love of a sibling is truly a blessing.
